Hi
A few questions
1 What is the significance of the hand etching on the 100m carb bodies?
2 Why is it considered a major authenticity point in id'ing a 100m when any 12 year old with a cheap engraving tool could replicate it?
3 Is the 100m Su H6 body the same as used on TRs, I know fuel bowls and linkages differ?
Regards
David

Hey David,
I can only assume that the hand etched '6053' on the front carb and '6047' on the rear carb was done at the factory when the mods were being installed on the stock BN2 engines. Also each carb had a raised number AUC 6040 X on the side. Believe that these were special embossed only for the 100M's. So unless you had the embossed number adding hand etching would be of no value. As to being the same type of carb on TR's, have read that but do not know about the above embossing, etc. Maybe Reid or someone else can add further info here.
Regards,
Mike
