10000k HIDs for 96 XJ6

Hi everyone.

So I am going to replace the headlights in my 96 Jag XJ6. I have always liked the look of bluelights, and I believe that where I live (Rhode Island, USA), any color but red is ok as long as it does not blind people and is DOT approved.

I am looking for a quality 10000k HID light set. Do I have to buy a kit, or does a company make headlights with the HIDs already installed?

Reviews? Past Experiences? Recomendations?

Thanks

No one seems to reply to posts on this site anymore... Any way, look on ebay for light kits. I always look there first for parts new or used and try to buy from vendors who provide free shipping. Good Luck w/ your project.

Already ahead of you. The question is what company to go with and if anyone makes headlamps with 10000k lights installed originally.

What are you trying to accomplish? According to several sources, the light from the HIDs is not focused properly and will actually decrease what you see.

In addition, many HID conversions are for low beam only. If you want high beams, you have to get the proper kit.

The lights I have now came with the car when I bought it in August '11. If the headlights were taken care of as well as the rest of the car, their factory original. I am quite sure that new blue lights, or any color, are better than 14 year olds. The lights I have now are pretty bad.

Yes, I know that I need a higher end kit. I am looking for a brand to look into, or any suggestions.
