That's a great friend to lend his auto.

Reid do you know who the generous soul was who let Keith their Healey?

No, I wondered that myself.

By the way, a few months ago when emailing Paul Duchene, executive editor of the same mag, I offered to drop by some time at midday and let him drive my 100 to lunch. I never got a response so I guess the enthusiasm for Healeys is not universal at the magazine! :driving:

Reid that's to bad I know most of the guys in the office are true car nuts. Let me know when you get your Avon's mounted and how they handle. I may get a set to race with for those rare wet track days we have here in the NW.............ha.

Will do. I telephoned my credit card info in over a week ago, so I assume that they have shipped by now. They're coming via surface so who knows how long it will take; two weeks? two months? more?

Meantime, I am taking the car in for a real alignment to make sure that it is ready to get the best out of the new tires.

Stop showing those D@^*^% pictures, never should have sold mine....perhaps the most beautiful car ever, and one of the only cars that two tone looks oh so right on.

POST MORE PICS!!!

Reid, I'd appreciate it if you would start a thread when you get the Avons on and give us all you impressions of the tire.

Thanks.

Good idea. Will do. However, bear in mind that these tires are (a) expensive and (b) seemingly unavailable here (in the USA), so it represents a major investment of time and money to acquire a set. The shipping alone - for these four wheels and tires - is $400, and no, that is not air shipment; it's via surface...
