Anyone know anything about this one? Handsome devil. Picture describes it as a replica, but it looks like an original with some fender massaging to me:

Rick,

That is an Australian car photographed in the UK. It attended the European Healey in Scotland this year. It is original but has all kinds of modifications, engine and otherwise. I don't have the details on hand but you can probably find it on the net somewhere.

Hi Rick & Derek,
This car was built by "The Healey Factory" in Melbourne. It was originally a BN6 and was featured in "Australian Classic Car" magazine, Issue 229, September 2012. Their website is www.ccar.com.au
Cheers,
Alwyn

Can't access the article without a password as far as I can tell, I like the look of the car, it almost looks like the whole of the front and rear fenders were widened a little? if it started as a BN6 must have been a heck of a lot of work going into it.

I tried the Australian classic car magzine website and also found that a password is needed.
The car has a straight six engine, based on the Austin C Series but has a 4.3 litre alloy block, and a 'competition' Healey transmission with O/D.
Alwyn

Ah, yes, quite correct regarding the six cylinder. Looks like the first link I posted is to a current project with a V8.
