Mine is a 54 BN1 (BN1L154340, body # 2699), and I bought it from the original owner in un-restored condition. The car was Reno Red and had a black dashboard with the raised instrument cluster painted silver.

Clausager's book (Original Austin-Healey The Restorers Guide To 100, 100-Six & 3000 by Anders Ditlev Clausager) Says: "The fascia panel was made of painted metal. It was usually dark blue on cars in Healey Blue, and mostly black on others. Normally the instrument panel was painted silver"

You might also get a copy of the book "Austin-Healey 100/100-6/3000 Restoration Guide" by Gary G. Anderson, Roger L. Moment, which may have more information. My copy is on loan at the moment.

My car was originally Healey Blue, but when I purchased it, it had been repainted British Green.
The fascia (dashboard if you prefer) is aluminum and is painted black. It is a matt paint finish, not gloss,which does'nt seem correct. Years ago I had a black 100-4 and the fascia was the same color and finish as the body of the car. This is what I understand is correct but I have gotten differing opinions. Also, the raised portion at the instrument cluster is not painted the aluminum or silver color which I have noted in many photos. I would appreciate some info from the color experts
