100-4 Side Curtain Sockets

How are the side curtain sockets secured to the door? Are they just screwed into the wood blocks? A previous owner filled the holes at one point but the blocks are still there. I'm going to have to drill them open and install new sockets.

It's been a while since we (nominally) restored our BN2 but, IIRC, yes, the sockets just screw into the wood. It's a hard wood, so it works OK.
