100-4 Keys

Hi all, hope the weather is holding for some good top down driving.

I am restoring a very early BN1 100-4. I have noticed that the ignition lock and the trunk lock seem to take different keys. Since I only have the ignition key I don't know if the trunk lock it wrong or I just need to rekey the trunk.

The question is: Were there two diffent keys for the ignition and the trunk in the early 100-4s?

Thanks for your help

Hi norway330,
mines body number 860, and yes there are two different keys, take the trunk barrel to a locksmith, they can then make the key to fit, or they can key the barrel to match your ignition key

The key number starts with FS or FP or something like this followed by a number. My trunk latch didn't have a number stamped on the face like the ignition but there was a number stamped on the square shank which should allow you to get a key made to that number. Have a good day!
