but quality is a concern thanks.

No need to worry about quality his tanks are one of the best. If you don't believe me ask--Keoke--

I second that. I have one and was happy from the git-go.

Got mine from ebay and angel heart pancho as well - all is good and the price was perfect. After all you don;t see these things!

Michael.

There's a new looking one on Ebay item# 260738078964 Healey misspelled as "healy". $125 No bids yet, I would call seller for details and negotiate on shipping prior to bidding. No financial interest, etc... I found a nice original one on ebay 1-2 year ago, cheers, Bert

I recently purchased one of his tanks in aluminium for my BN2 which is undergoing restoration. I have not tried fitting it to the car yet so I cannot speak of anything regading the fit.

He shipped the tank right away. His crating/shipping charge of $75 seemed high at first however the wooden crate he fabbed up to ship it in protected the tank 100% and turned out to be worth it in the end.

Visually the tank, being of a brushed/lightly sanded aluminium takes your breath away. It's really a thing of beauty. The construction quality is very high. The filler neck, sump, drain, etc are all well done. The only possible nick I have against it is that there is some deformation due to welding heat. Parallel to and along where the baffles run I measured approx 1/4" of deformation along one side and about 3/16" on the other. I think it was the full length welds of the sump that caused it. Fortunately these areas are on the bottom so they will not really be visible. The body guy doing the resto on the car thinks some of it can be floated out but I told him not to mess with it. I don't know what is normal for an original tank or a steel unit.

I would buy another one in a heartbeat given the price and quality plus Jorge is a great guy to deal with and got back to me promptly on all communications.

Sorry for the long post.

I'll add that in my experience he is very responsive to his customers.
I bought one of his steel tanks about 6-7 years ago. When it arrived I was very dissapointed in the weld quality and distortion. So I took a couple of pictures and emailed him. He apologized immediately and explained he had just hired a new welder and this was not the quality he usually shipped. The replacement arrived about 3 days later (no charge) and it was a work of art. On top of that he didn't even want the first one back, asked if I could just scrap it locally.
I was impressed - I mean, it was frustrating to get a bad one, but to get the kind of rush, personalized service when a problem was pointed out was great.
I would definaltely buy from him again.

Dave

It is great to see good customer service from a supplier. I was very leery when I ordered bumbers for my e-type, as I have always found repros to be of low quality. After talking to him I placed the order. To my surprise they were quite nice with very good chrome finish.

Door top chrome for the same car were as the same quality.

I also can recommend him !

Pete
