Hello,
A few months back I purchased a reproduction 100-M distributor 40422 from a major supplier. It was described as a distributor but in reality it is a PARTIALLY COMPLETE distributor KIT. It did not come with the drive or even the hole drilled in the shaft to mount the drive.
Therefore I am looking for advice on:
-The drilling of the hole in the shaft.
-What the end play (up and down) should be and how to set it. I have removed the drive from the old distributor and there was a phenolic (maybe?) washer between the housing and the drive but no metal shims or anything.
Any help is appreciated.
