That picture looks like it was taken at the Brighton sprints on the sea front.

Is that appropriate to have an
auto electric shop on a British car?

you bet! with Lucas wiring, there would be tons of business!!!

kind of like Viagra on Nascar if you catch my meaning

Re: the Land Rover: Ugh.

We went to a cruise night at ~The Chatterbox~ here in NJ over the weekend.

It's full of hot rods which is fine with me.....to each his own.
Great music and some neat rat-rods.
(which I sorta like because you can tell they're never "check-book toys").

There was also an RB MGB, a Series 1-1/2 E-type, a great C1 Corvette and several nice Miatas.

But there was also a '48 "sit up and beg" Anglia with a 350 Chevy engine. What a waste of a neat little car!
I couldn't even stand to take a picture of it.

Bet that Rover doesn't have a Rover engine in it!

You don't think a stroked out 5.1 litre Rover V8 with twin turbo's could do that? There are some blokes in England that have built such engines with drag racing in mind.

I think the more sure bet is that it doesn't have a heavy Rover chassis under that lightweight, chopped down aluminum body.

Now that I could agree with.

The first clue is that it is sunny in the pic.

ah, that's the problem, here I've fixed it

What in-line 6 engine is powering the rail in the third photo? Austin Healey? Shot was taken at the Surfers Paradise Raceway c.1970.

There you go John. Now those down under will be able to see the picture right side up.
