Morning Folks -
Two questions please:
1. Latest thoughts on adhesive for padded dash. Getting ready to install a new dash. Use adhesive? If so, type and any tips? Certainly want to do it right the first time.
2. Planning on putting down a self adhesive heat/sound material (Dynamat) and then underfelt and carpet. Any thoughts? Also, opinions on putting the on the top or bottom of the new transmission cover?

I used Kill-Mat which worked well. Same as Dynamat. I chose to use the thinner mat to save weight and then put two layers on the left side of the transmission hump. On top, not under.
Make sure to leave all the bolts exposed for future removal. I would not use felt throughout but might add it in a few key locations.

As for the dash, I just used contact cement but I'm no expert.
 
We use the Dynamat but the Kill-Mat probably just as good.
We also use it on the inside of the door panels and kick panels.

If you use an adhesive to glue down the dash pad I would use a high heat type like they use in headliners. A Black dash pad can get fairly hot in direct sun light. However I would only spray it on only one surface too so you can pull it back up if it goes on crooked.
