The oil pressure gauge in my newly-acquired 1970 MGB doesn't seem right. It reads zero when the car is off -- even if I turn the key to on without starting the engine -- but the gauge slowly creeps up to about 50 PSI when I start the engine...

My TR3a runs perfectly (finally) and I really don't have any issues at all anymore. But the oil pressure concerns me a bit, and for the life of me I can't remember if it was doing this
before I did my engine...
