TR6 Flare Angle / Type for a ‘71 TR6 Fuel Pump Compression Fitting

I am having a hard time getting a good deal on my fuel pump input

I am wondering if I have the wrong flare angle.

Anyone know what it should be?

Thanks…

Thank you…. I was wondering about something like that too.

Appreciate the response!

Still having trouble with this.

I have the stock nut (or at least one that screws all the way into the fuel pump fitting), and it is very obviously designed for 1/4” tubing.

I got the compression fitting, but it won’t compress.

I sourced a brass “barb”, but it doesn’t thread into the fuel pump.

Anyone know the British thread specification for a 1/2” brass compression nut?

I think the stock AC fuel pump uses 5/16” tubing instead of the 1/4” that my nut supports…. but I haven’t had any luck sourcing the correct compression nut.

If I get the right thread, I may go to a barb fitting…

Thanks / Rocky

The fuel line tube is 5/16 at the inlet and 1/4" at the exit.
I don't think there was anything "British" about it...You should be able to find what you need in the hardware department....but you may find the nut a bit too short to compress the ferule.
I just removed a couple of threads in the body of the pump to compensate

Thanks…. I think my major issue is trying to squish a 1/4” compression fitting in a pump designed for 5/16” tubing.

Got some items on the way…. Will report back!

Also, thank you for the specifications…. I’m gonna go out to my car now and see if somehow my plumbing has been switched from the inlet to the outlet…. That might explain why I have what looks like a stock compression fitting that doesn’t work with my fuel pump…
