TR4/4A Ultimate Water Pump Pulley Retention Solution

I have read many horror stories about problems with the water pump pulleys either flying off by themselves or not coming off at all. Since buying this very cleverly designed pulley many years ago at a swap meet or show (really can’t remember) I’ve never had a bit of problem. I’ve installed it on several pumps over the years and have never seen another like it. It’s a compression rather than friction fit to the shaft. The nylock nut on the end is basically a decoration as I recall (haven’t had it apart in quite awhile).

I recently came across the business card of the guy that made it and tried to call the number listed. Of course it was a long disconnected old land line. Does anyone out there know this guy, or have one of his pulleys? I’m sure many others would benefit from his invention like I have.

His name is Boyd Morris from Lafayette CA.
