I have read all the posts about this and seem to be getting contradicting opinions? Is this the correct slave cylinder mounting for a TR6 transmission in a TR3A using a 3 finger clutch set up?? The slave "mounting bracket" goes on the BACK of the Bell housing........The flange of the slave cylinder is mounted on the REAR face of the "mounting bracket". Also does this set up,if correct, call for a shorter adjustment rod? Not so much being able to screw the rod in and out but in terms of a TR6 rod being the same size in actual length as the TR3 adjustment rod? Any help is greatly appreciated. Karl

TR2/3/3A HELP! Clutch slave mounting orientation driving me up the wall.........

Karl I have an early 6 box in my 3a I used have the early clutch but now use the diaphragm clutch
My slave bracket is fitted to the back of the gearbox flange and the slave is fitted to the front of the bracket and the rod is really short (sorry I don’t have the measurements. And the clevis fits to the middle hole of the lever

Thanks I'm going to send you a photo of the clutch slave setup that I just did that is the same as your photo. I have not attached the adjustment rod yet but it looks to me that it is going to be way too long? Any thoughts?

Here is a pic of how I was instructed ( by Randall Young) to set up the slave cylinder on a TR3A with early TR6 A type OD. And using a 3 fingered TR3/4 clutch.
And yes I had to shorten the rod a bunch.
