You guys got me thinking about gauges. Looks like a 1955 tr2 fuel gauge only has one wire and a case ground? I have a sender, but it is untested with a lot of patina and rust.
It was Randal who guided me through some kind of resister to install on the gauge, but really I cannot remember why or how. It must be in the old files somewhere on this forum.
Part of the story was the gauge is a volt meter and the sender a calibrated resistance. I believe the new resister might have been installed /soldered to provide calibration. I bought a bag of resisters at Radio Shake cannot remember the ohm and the ones I bought were only close. Anyways it worked.
Peace out Steve
