Winter Storm Jan 2026

You lucky bar—— chap we used to dream of a snow shovel
We had to use spoons wearing only a T shirt
Ah yes, but that was only after walking to school both ways uphill in a blizzard…

YOU HAD A BLIZZARD? - We only had a little rain.
But we had to walk barefoot, carrying our best friends on our backs…

Nice outfit when you're surrounded by sand, dust, critters, and males searching for ... uh ... food.

yikes!

Oklahoma, 75 degrees F yesterday, 26 this morning! :rolleyes2:

Connecticut!

30F and Snow yesterday
30F and Snow today
30F and Snow tomorrow
Lather rinse repeat ...

SW OH, temps mid 60s yesterday and sunny. Clouding up later in the afternoon and rain off and on overnight and into the predawn morning. Now going to be in the 30s and sunny today. Winter is back for the next few days with those round freezing temps but no snow left from the storm a few weeks ago.

Mike - around here, a good heavy snow, followed by snowplows on the roads, isn't a big PITA. But heavy snow, followed by temps just above freezing during day, dropping below freezing at night ... what a mess. Roads, sidewalks, cars, etc. fully iced over, and shoveling/blowing snow with an ice coating isn't fun.

Anymore, one good snow is about all we see. When I was a kid there could be snow on the ground much of the winter. Now we may or may not see one notable snow over that time period. And we've had several shirtsleeve weather days in January/February so far, yesterday included where it was upper 60s out.

I have tomorrow off,& my Wife's going to be out of town,
and it's supposed to be 82 DEGREES.I was all set to put the top
down on the Miata & go for a drive, but now they say that it's
going to rain.
My Wife's going to our Granddaughter's 15th birthday
celebration. There will also be three other teenaged girls doing a
sleepover. What could be more fun than that?
Anyway I told my Wife that I was deeply upset that i couldn't
attend,as I have top work on Sunday.OH DARN!
