Lucas Horn Repair

How did you go with the horn, I just repaired mine. A tiny thing stopped it working; The issue was the contacts were ok, drawing the plunger in however, it wasn't pulling it down enough. Inhadnto make a thin cardboard washers to go over the plunger to allow it to draw open the contact. Too thick and it didn't work, too thin.. not enough. Some pics to help.. I can only post one pic..

There's not much to them; when you get a chance, drill out the rivvets and have a play.
The original horns (HF1748) fitted to a AH-100 don't have rivets. Held together with cheese head screws that corrode - dissimilar metals. You'll find an article about rebuilding them in the member article section. You'll find the Lucas workshop instructions for care and repair on the web. I made some tone disks (Mg), but haven't rebuilt any yet.
