Started tearing down the front apron and will then take out the radiator and steering. The time has come
to install my version of what the factory should have done in the first place.
The Mini rack must be RHD as the Tr steers in front of the axel (Mini from behind). I will take pics and post
as work goes forward. I have selected the quick ratio from BPNW.

The hard part is completed. the only serious mod was notching the DS tower to allow the U joint
to clear the frame. A half round of 2 inch steel tube was inset into the base of the tower and welded up.
This allows for the standard/plastic fan to be retained as the rack is positioned where the old drag link traveled.
The motor did not mind being lifted the 3/16 for the brackets to slide in. And bump steer is avoided!

Bump steer was the biggest problem when I did my car. It took hours to get that fixed. Good job on planning ahead.

Pics on the install. Hard to see but a section of the suspension tower was cut away and a section of
steel tubing welded in.This allowed room for the U joint. All else used was bolted in. Engine is lifted 3/16
The tie rods had to be shortened. The fan was tight but fit well.

It is called the death wheel. Carbide saw 4 inch blade 1/16 thick. The total was one inch removed from the inner
tie rod end, The outer was shortened 1/8 inch. The alignment has been done and its ready to go.
