Hi Everyone. I had a question concerning the rocker bracket on my 1974 MGB. I recently replaced a few rockers. I noticed while reassembly that on the top of the end rocker bracket there is a small (1/4?) threaded bolt that screws into the hole on the top of the rocker. It's held in place by a
lock plate. I did not pay attention when I dismantled the rocker and shaft how far deep the bolt is threaded. I checked with the supplier and also the shop manual but there was no info. Anyone know how deep I need to screw the bolt in? Also any idea what the purpose is? Seems the deeper you thread it the less oil will flow through the shaft? Any info appreciated. Thanks.
