I've just replaced my mechanical fuel pump with a replacement from Moss Motors. Install went fine. Inlet is connected and does not leak. The compression tube nut on the output threads in until it reaches the nut, but has not compressed the ferrul to prevent leaking. It seems like possibly the fuel pump body is just slightly larger.
I have searched numerous auto parts stores to find a similar tube nut with a longer threaded shaft to no avail. On-line also is a challenge as I have not found any that identify the overall dimensions.
Any suggestions on where to find a longer tube nut (1/4 1/2-20) or an alternative play to get the output connected to the fuel line? Thanks!
