Hey Grady -
So what I did was buy four black, flat, (shape, not color) plastic center caps off eBay. I had to do a little trimming on the backside of them with a hacksaw to make them fit flush up against the wheel face.
I think the ones I bought were 70 mm inner diameter. Those cost me about $13.
Then I bought some decals with the TVR logo off eBay. There’s a guy in England who makes the stickers. I bought the 50 mm diameter ones, but the stickers would’ve looked better if I had gotten the 60 mm diameter ones. Those were also on eBay and those cost me about $13.
Next, I bought the polyester resin that I showed in the picture, above, from Amazon. That cost me about $13.
Finally, I mixed up the resin, making enough to pour on top of each one of the wheel discs. It’s pretty thick, so basically all you do is make sure the center caps are absolutely level, and then pour the resin on top of them, slow slowly. When the resin gets to the edge, the surface tension will do the bubble edge for you.
It’s critical to get the disks absolutely flat, and let the resin set a bit (to get it thicker) before you pour it.
It’s not too hard to make them… I would volunteer to make some, but many of the parts have to be custom fit to your wheels, so that they fit properly on your wheel center.
Only you know that dimensions!
Anyway, the project is fun and it only cost me about 50 bucks for all four.
