Door Lock Tumbler

Tried locking the door on my newly acquired BJ8 and the lock tumbler mechanism came out with the key.
Is there a short-cut to putting it back in, or am I completely removing the inner door panel, window glass, etc.?
Thanks, Dean

It’s been several years, but I think you need to remove the door panel to get to the machine screw that has fallen out. Find the screw and then put it all back together.

There’s a small machine screw that goes into the back end of the tumbler. Yep, the door panel is coming off. Have fun getting those handles off and back on again.

Chances are also good that you will break some of the spring clips that hold the door panel on too.

On and off is easier with two sticks behind the handle

A spoke from a bicycle can help also
