Spring service of the 4-door Sprite (Morris Minor)

Winter is wrapping up and it's time to get the 4-door Sprite (okay, it's a Morris Minor) serviced and back on the road. Boy do I love having the lift. Makes things so much easier all around. Servicing went well, only thing of note was to replace the hot battery cable as it showed some corrosion. Haven't been able to spend much time out in the shop these days, so it was nice to get out there and putter a bit.

I always feel a little silly using "Racing" oil in a Morris Minor, and apparently Valvoline agrees now as the oil is now for "Racing & Classic Cars." :thumbsup2:

A little space and a lift, that's all a car person really needs in life. 😁

Had I the mental space for another car I'd love a Traveller. Maybe someday...
 
My shop partner has a sweet little '60 drophead.
 
My Traveller isn’t these days. The engine is out & some welding is required to fix some POs hack job to mount the Datsun engine, to say nothing of the wiring mess…
 
My Morris has spent a few summers since I bought it in 2015 off the road for various fixes. Mostly, though, she's been a great car and really reliable. Funny thing now is that I'm starting to have to redo work I did back then as parts age and wear. Sometimes I even remember how I did it the first time! :unsure:

I can relate, having the same bugeye since 1980, mostly off the road for various reasons. ( like being boxed in by the Traveller. )
I try to learn something new again, everyday!
