I just wanted to acknowledge that Richard Mayor, a frequent poster here, owns the only Healey entered in the Portland Roadster Show this past weekend. I saw it there Saturday.
The Roadster Show is a bit different from the typical automotive interests of the people who typically visit this forum, but it was still good entertainment for a few hours. The only other British car I remember was a Sunbeam Tiger, and if you consider an AC Cobra to be British, then yes, there was one of those too, an all-original, unrestored 289 Cobra that is well known in this region.
Richard, how does one get a car into the show? What are the costs? I understand there are trophies and prize money involved; can you outline the classes and prize money? Did you win anything?
Dougie, your vintage racing 100-6MM would not be out of place in the show. In fact, I'll bet it would be welcomed and appreciated. You might consider it for next year.
