General Tech Improvement to TR4A Muffler

My TR is a bit too loud. Here are the pics I've taken. If I need more I'll get under the car, but as you can see, I've got twin tips on the rear, but there are no mufflers along that long stretch of pipe in the last pic. Forward of the T-Shirt (second pic) there's what might be a muffler. Looking closely (sorry it's such a bad pic), it says "Blue Bottle." I believe from a quick search, that "Blue Bottle" was like a rather inexpensive "cherry bomb" muffler from years past.

Seems to me I might cut that pipe and put mufflers to the rear. If possible, I'd like to avoid cutting with a torch, the muffler shop, and all that. But I wonder what style or make might fit best back there and whether slide fit/clamps would work--and whether I could leave that Blue Bottle right where it is.

I'm also interested to hear what others have to say. My TR4A came with only the forward muffler and a glass-pack muffler in the rear, and it was not too loud. I considered making my own system, as new ones came in stainless steel only, and they were expensive. The problem, though, was that I couldn't predict the sound, and I didn't want to spend a bunch of cash on experiments. I ended up buying the standard system.

Still, there are a lot of generic mufflers and other exhaust parts you can buy. Something, among these, should work.
