BN6 Owners Handbook

This book came with my BN 6 yesterday and is the original owners handbook. I don't know it they are unique or not but every one I've seen (reprints) are for the earlier BN4.
This book is for the BN6, all the pics and material show the BN6 only and no BN4's...pretty nice to have.

I believe that AKD 947 and 947A were the last 100-Six handbooks. I don't have a copy of AKD 947. I couldn't find a publication date for AKD 947A, but it is for BN6 and BN4 from car no. 48863. The first BN6 was produced in March 1958. 996F is the first 100-Six BN4 book and 996J (February 1958) is the last. Supplement AKD 931 for the BN6 could be included with 996J.

The 100 handbooks are 996 through 996 E. Some times the prefix 97H was used - "97H 996H".

The 3000 handbooks started a new series: AKD 1102.

The BN6 came with a workshop manual and parts manual like the ones in your rack...the light blue binders...AKD1179

I’m looking for the same Blue BN6 Owners Manual for my BN6. I have an Original (Last Longbridge) BN4 handbook copy 97H 996J. It is is very good condition for Feb 1958!
