I am seeking advice or experiences from fitting Konig 16"x7" wheels to a TR-4.

I currently run 72 spoke wire wheels with 185/65-15 tires. The wheels have a backspace of 3-5/8" with the spline hub extension in place. The current distance between tires and leaf springs is 2.5".

The konig wheels have a backspace of 4-1/4". The backspace change alone will narrow my tire to leaf spring gap by 1/2" (4-1/4 minus 3-5/8).
Changing from a 185 tire (7.3" wide) to a 195 (7.7" wide) will decrease it by 1/2 of the width change or .2"
Changing from a 185 tire (7.3" wide) to a 205 (8.1" wide) will decrease it by 1/2 of the width change or .4"

therefore, for the 205 the tire to leaf spring would be 2.5" - 1/2" - .4" = ~ 1.6"

What have I missed or assumed wrong?

Any experiences would be appreciated. I have yet to mount wheels or tires.
