I have a 67 AH BJ8 that I have owned since college (1972). It has been parked since the early 80’s. Recently I commissioned a restoration. I hope that those of you with experience with BJ8s can provide some insight on my issue.
The body work has been completed on my car except the cowling below the hood opening. There is some confusion as to the proper orientation of the park/turn signal lights under the front head lights. My car had some previous front end damage, and the lower cowl was replaced. On my car the P/T lights appear the be aimed inward a small amount ie, not aligned with the car centerline. Also the lights aren’t mounted on the same plane. The inner light is located approximately 3/8” rearward of the outer light.
My question is should the lights be mounted on the same plane and oriented parallel to the car centerline or is my car correct?
How is your car oriented with respect to the P/T lights? I’d appreciate any thoughts you may have.
