I finally got some paint on my Prefect, the bottom specifically. These cars were mounted to the frame by the Briggs Body Works then sent to Ford for painting and final assembly. The frames were painted body color and some of the bottom. Ford wasn't quite this picky with the bottoms but this is my car now. This is the result after several days on my back on the cold concrete floor.

Wow, nice job, but I don't envy doing that on your back! :rolleyes2:

Thanks Paul. Now if I could just get the uppers done.

Finally got it all back together. Brake lines, fuel line, exhaust, driveline and fuel tank. The only risky part was stabbing the drive shaft splines into the U-joint that had to be held by hand, out of sight, while a helper slowly pushed the whole thing into place. The bell at the front end of the torque tube is a notorious finger eater. See the photo below. Now it's time to put it away for a while and start final block sanding on the Sprite so I can have it ready for paint before perpetual hot weather hits.
