Hello Bill

Nice clear wiring diagram. Where did you get the wiring symbols/icons for the various components? I would like to do a similar drawing for my TR3A while I can still remember what mods I made.

I use Edrawmax from Wondershare ($245.00). It is a basic CAD software program based on MS Word so it is easy to use with a little bit of a learning curve. I made all the symbols/icons. If you had this software, I could send you my diagrams in this .eddx format and you could cut and paste the symbols.

Hello Bill

I do not have that program. I see there is a free download but I am not sure how long it would work for before you have to pay. As I do not do much CAD work it is not worth it to me to buy a copy for one use.
Will have to see if I can make my own icons for lamps etc. I would prefer if I could find an old time drawing stencil for bulbs etc. I visualize paper drawings better than CAD

I started out drafting using a Cutler Hammer stencil. I still have a couple of them. Send me your address and I will mail you one

Hello Bill

The stencil arrived today. Thank you. It looks like a piece of Drafting history.

I did not spend much time at a drawing board but I have had to use the exact type you described in your note. Progress was measured by the pile of erasure rubber on the floor at the end of the day. Ink on velum was always a pain.
