Is anyone going to race their Healey at the CSRG weekend on Oct 1and 2? And if so, will you be giving rides? I’d love to ride a few laps in a Big Healey.

Does anyone know if admission allows pit and paddock access?
It does at the Monterey Laguna Seca Historics.
How much is admission?

Unfortunately, I'm racing this weekend in Seattle with our local club SOVREN and then October 7-10th at SVRA's Utah event > 2021 Utah SpeedTour | SVRA <. I think the Adair family will be at the CSRG Sonoma races with # 171.

Thanks John. I’ll see if they’ll “sell” me a ride. Would love to experience Sonoma at speed in a Healey. For those who don’t get the “sell” deal, this is a charity event where car owners give folks rides in their race cars for a donation. I think it’s a wonderful way to raise money and share our love of exotic cars.

Rob, I attended in 2017 and bought a ride with Gary Black. I'll see if I can find the video I shot from a helmet cam.
Later that day, I spoke with the Adairs and mentioned I had hoped to buy a ride with them, and wondered why they didn't participate in the ride program. Turns out they were concerned about the ingress/egress of a passenger due to the design of their roll bar. I let them know it was not terribly different from Gary Black's car. Maybe they will be participating the charity ride program this year.

Hey Rob -

Put this on the big screen with surround sound and you can race with me at Sonoma......

I got to Sonoma Raceway this morning about 10:30. First car I encountered was Gary Black and his 1960 BN7. I talked to him about getting a ride and he was excited, because last race, no one purchased a ride with him. We talked Healeys for a bit and then I walked over to the charity ride booth and asked to donate to ride with Gary. To my shock, i was told all 5 rides were taken. I was disappointed but found Gary and told him he was a very popular guy to sell out so early. He was surprised to say the least. He suggested I comeback early Sunday and get a place. I couldn’t make it on Sunday but soon learned that all the Sunday spots were sold also. There were at least 20 other cars that had spots available but no Healeys.
So, it appears our cars are still in great demand, at least Gary’s is. Here are two shots of his car and one of some stranger taking my seat in the race Healey.

Typically, CSRG has an event in April where clubs can come and get a few parade laps. Hasn't been done the last two years because of you-know-what, but we're hopeful for next year.
