TR6 Ongoing Love Affair with 1 TR6

Friday 4/9/21 marks 42 yrs being owned by the same TR6. Purchased 4/9/79 30th birthday present to myself from original owner for $2800 86K+ miles then 381,972 on odometer now.
When purchased then original owner was looking for a good home for it told him I just want to keep it clean & drive it. 1st 3 yrs use to take it by his business every 6 months during his lunch break to show my appreciation for selling to me he's do walk around with big smile & we'd exchange hand shake Thank You.

Got up this morning diy spray carwash suspension/frame/engine bay changed out the VR1/Filter 68 sunny degrees drove for 37 miles was headed home TR6 let me know it wanted more 49 more miles of twisties in 80 sunny degrees we'd had enough

Monday 4/12/21 that 42 plus the 30 when it found me I'll be 72 Retired 12 yrs fixed income pension/SS

Menu homemade double peach cobbler 2 qrts of Baskin Robbins praline n cream to top off today's TR6 Moment.

No No No the homemade peach cobbler will be finished in 3 days before ingredients get a chance to break down 1 qrt consumed during that period extra is making trip to B & R worth while got that from my Niece use to get double scoop on birthday & call it good she suggest what do you do when you want more later or the next day might as well get a qrt so since I limit myself to B&R only on my birthday I get 2 qrts:smile: back to TRIUMPH I Love My TR6:D
 
Me too 1973 TR 6 frame up restoration in 1993 its an ole car again. Out today first club meeting in over a year 75plus Deg. to club meeting about 100 miles to Reno NV and home top down great day. MF
 
Yes I went bumper to bumper this last year. New Radiator all hoses timing chain cover seal and chain fuel filter carb seals and diaphragm Geared starter clutch plate bearing flywheel gear trans seals and gaskets windscreen new carpets and installing the Backlight top assy. I had done the rear end seal earlier Oldpic of car no role bar and alloy wheels MF

Not quite at your level Julius, but our family ownership of our 6 is pushing 40 years now. I hope that it will remain in the family for quite a while yet as my kids enjoy riding in it...
