Is this gap normal on a TR4? It is a 1962, CT10368 but has had a respray and amatuer
body repair. Drivers gap is 1/4 inch, passenger 3/8 inch.

Thanks for any help.

Thanks malbaby, I was afraid of that....so nothing to do on it.....so its good on that end. I think I'll hit the visible bolt heads, with flat black though so they aren't so visible. Jerry

I'm putting together a 1961 TR4 CT2292 and have the same issue but 3/8 in on drivers side and 1/4 on passenger. I've been fussing about it but will now just let it be.

thanks Dave

I looked at my TR6 same body for the most part and it seems to be the same gap as hood to body gap. Door to 1/4 panel is a bit smaller. As above touch of paint and let it be.

Dave, you can make it nice with some judicious welding..[assuming the car is not yet painted].
car is already painted so too late for that. I'll just have to live with it.

thanks, dave

looked at another TR 6 yesterday and his gap was about as thick as a quarter coin I do not know how he got it that tight but you could hardly see the bolt head at all. MF
