Hi folks my dad used to race a Cooper in the ‘50’s before making motor racing and club films in the 60’s and racing a 1930’s Alvis 1970’s to 90’s he is no longer with us so I am slowly uploading them to YouTube.
this is my latest submission. VSCC from 1973, and at the end of the year I was 10. vintage cars being used as they were designed and more. Driving tests, sprints, circuits and the Welsh trial. From toppling 750cc Austin to crashing 24000cc Bentley

hope you enjoy. And check out my other videos. And subscribe so you don’t miss out.

and my channel here

This isn’t some commercial spam just an enthusiast whose dad had an amazing life around cars. And influenced me greatly the picture of him and me( in the driving seat of the Alvis single seater)

Those are some great photos and videos you've shared. My father would take us to the Santa Barbara airport for Sunday at the races. Race cars - mainly modified street cars - could be heard for miles. In 1955 James Dean race that course before leaving north to Cholame in the Central Valley.

Thanks for the memories, from another VSCC member, though long expatriates. I think I can guess who was your father!
There is another film on YouTube, VSCC race meeting at Llandow, Wales 1973.
One minute in you can see my 1965 Honda S600 coupe in the car park, and at 1min 30 you see my father and I working on car 49, the car in my avatar. We had the engine out, and were fixing the clutch.
There are a few other shots of me in the car later on, sadly though during the race I had trouble and retired. All caused by the rush rebuild.
