How can I remove my wiper wash knob on my 1975 TR6. I want to remove my dashboard to work on my gauges and I believe I need to remove the knob. Also do I need to remove the hazard lights knob also? I know I need to remove the speedo and tach. Is there anything else I need to remove?

Look on the bottom side of the wiper knob; you will see a small hole. Find something with a small diameter and insert into the hole. Push up with the tool to release the knob. It helps to slightly pull at the same time you are pushing up on the release. If it doesn’t come off, put a drop of oil on the shaft and let it seep into the knob.

The red hazard knob simply unscrews.

Yes small hole on bottom of all knobs. The gauges all have O-rings behind the chrome rings I got from ( Fastenal ) most maybe in bags of 5 or 10. If you take out the Tac first you can reach most all wires. while the glove box is out change out heater hose behind box . And remember to replace BLACK ground wires. I put on about ten coats of clear to dash Satin not gloss. I moved key switch and removed air vents to speakers. Madflyer

Sometimes all the king horses and all the kings men can not get the knobs off the switches. Even when pressing a small object into the hole. I have found that using a heat gun on low will provide just enough to soften years of gum to allow easy removal.
