Abandoned Utility pole

Believe it or not, there are a few poles left that actually have the insulators on them. Not safely accessible for this old telco guy! But some knuckleheads will likely attempt.
All the glass insulators are gone, apparently. Those used to be targets for rural rifle practice!
Near as can be determined, the canal in this particular area was abandoned in the early to mid 20th century. We have many old canals here in the NY, NJ and Pa region. Take a look at "Hawks Nest" road on route 97 in Port Jervis, New York...A must drive!
Found this old pole along the right of way of the Delaware & Hudson Canal near Port Jervis, New York. I used the Olympus 12-60 zoom and a little polarizing on my E-5.
