Penny the Bugeye in her new home

Brought Penny home from the bodyshop yesterday. They were doing the final rub-out and sorting out a few small issues. Paintwork looks really good now, no issues. Now it's time to get to restoring all the other pieces...

At least I have space now to work. We built a new house last year, and built the shop this summer. It's 36' x 40' with about 15.5' to the trusses. Eventually there will be a lift in there as well -- I've lots of work still to do, but it's a dream space to be working in.

Hopefully I can get the new shop heated before the snow flies, so I'll have all winter to be working on the projects. All the cars need something, but at least the Morris is running well.

Congrats Drew! Love the shop and your OEW collection!

I'm really excited for the shop space, it's a dream come true for sure. Still have to wire it inside, but the space is there to stretch out. Maybe I'll even be able to get to work on Penny -- if the job that pays for all this ever lets up!

Love the shop and your OEW collection!

Funniest thing is they are all different shades. Morris is likely original paint other than the wings. MGB is a repaint in unknown OEW, would have been Amana Fridge White from the factory. Bugeye is a modern Ford white.

looks great! And obviously when the snow is flying you won't see any of them.

Absolutely Awesome, Drew!

Looking forward to progress reports too.

BTW, if you haven't sorted out the flywheel issue yet, I have a solution; email me directly for details

Wow! Just Wow.

Get that heater in. "Winter is coming"

Get that heater in. "Winter is coming"

Working on it. Supposed to be highs in the 50s this weekend. Winter isn't here yet, but it is sending advance notice.

I love that new shop and its residents. You're really gonna enjoy that.

Wow ! Nice Shop !! Dream come true for sure - Enjoy !!

I'm really excited for for the new shop space -- it still doesn't feel like it's actually mine. The last two years since we started the process have been stressful in many ways, but we made it and now maybe we can enjoy it. Haven't really worked on the cars at all other than minimal maintenance since I got the Morris running early last year. Everything had to be put on hold for the build and move. Will be really nice to be able to pop out to the shop after work and putter for an hour or two.

And I'm not a fan of winter, so really looking forward to being able to hide out there during the cold, dark months and get some things done.

Looks good! What kind of heater are you going to install?

Don't know yet, but a friend just finished building a similar shop/barn and he gave me the contact info for the fellow that did his heating. I'm guessing one of those ceiling-mounted units. I ran a gas line out there when I had the electrical line put in, so I'm setup to use gas.

Added a new item to the new shop tonight. '06 Triumph Bonneville T100. Good to be back riding.

I'm also Drew "I really only want one car" Frink.

Ah well. Not sure what I'll do if a deal on a white, RHD Series Land Rover ever comes up. Lose half the cars in the divorce, probably.

Oddest thing about my monochromatic collection is that white isn't my favorite car color. I like it well enough, but give me a nice British Racing Green or Iris Blue any day. But when you're only shopping for RHD cars in the USA you don't have as many options, and I'm not a fan of changing a car's color from the factory original. So now I have a collection with a theme.

I'd love to get to Toad Hall some day and see those cars. Though I don't know, a collection that's all one color? Who would do that...

Very cool new shop, Ill have to come down and see it sometime.
Not much progress on mine this year, I'm spending a lot of my time with the girls.

That's awesome. I'd love to have that kind of shop space. As it is, anytime I work on anything bigger than the Sprite in my garage, I barely have room to work.
