Earlier today, when I went to look at a TR4 donor frame for my TR3 resoration, I stumbled across a 1980 TR8 for sale. The car is cosmetically rough, but runs well. This looks like a great canidate for my wife's future "little zippy" as she says. Anyway, what concerns me is the rust I spotted where the trailing arms attach to the rear of the floor pan. I have read that this is a common area of rust on the TR8 and I can see why. Has anyone used Revington's repair kit or something similar? Is this a difficult repair? I can handel floor panels and reapir panels on fenders, but I am a lillte apprenhensive when it comes to a unibody componet handeling trailing laods? Then again the price looks really hard to apss on such a wonderfull Triumph...for my wife of course. Of course I run across this car when I have the 3 in pieces. Such is life.
Any suggestions on this repair or experiences with 8's in general would help.
Thanks,
Greg
