TR6 tr6 connecting rods/motorcycle connecting rods

i was wondering if anybody had any knowledge of this, i think i read something about it a while back. i read some article that i think talked about replacing the connecting rods in a spitfire engine with motorcycle connecting rods. the spit con rods are the same as a tr6. anyone have any info? thanks

Nobody seems to be going for this so.....
I assume you are looking for a better replacement as stock rods are easily obtained.
Most modern bikes are multi-cylindered, so have very short strokes and tiny rods, so I assume the reference would be to some kind of large capacity dirt bike with a single cylinder engine, or a big v-twin. Even in this case most modern engines are high revving, with quite shoprt strokes, so to have a reasonable rod ratio, quite short rods.
Your best bet might be to check a source like Carillo,Manley or Pauter.

You could try Prirace. The guy who runs it was into bikes before TRs according to his site. His conrods as shown are quite a bit cheaper than Carillo, but X cross-section rather than H.

You'd probably have to wait a few weeks for Carillos - I know that I did. There are other choices (Arrow for example - see RevingtonTR) but they cost even more.

AFAIK there isn't a magic swap - and I spent quite a bit of time looking. Unless you are going for crazy power the stock are good enough. I know this doesn't really answer your question, but I hope it's of some help.
