I am re doing my interier over , and am wondering if there is a better set of carpets to purchase. I have seen several advertised with many different prices.
I am also using Magic Carpet nylon. Mine were some of the earlier ones produced. The carpet itself is holding up well. The trim has been coming off since day one.
As Brosky said, many will lead you to Wilton Wool. They are beautiful. The concern is shrinkage. They must be fitted to allow for it.
When calling around, ask for inventory status.
TRF offers more color variations, ie. they mix trim colors with the carpet color. They may take longer to ship depending on inventory.
I have never purchased carpet from any of the other sources.
I live in the tropics where the asphalt roads surface get
mighty hot. I installed the Roadster Factory wool carpet
to help my 69TR6 be cooler inside. I am pleased with TRF
service and the Wilton carpet.
Heritage Trim is a high quality place to buy British car carpets/interiors. They say there are only two mills producing Wilton wool car carpet in England and Heritage is the only ones in the U.S. that have the highest quality. I'm not sure if this is true but you could request samples from anyone you are considering buying from and do a comparison.
I put wilton wool in my 6 last year, looks great, no shrinkage yet, ( thats what she said) I also bought auto carpet padding with Al backing and it deadens sound and keeps the heat out
My friend just received his wilton wool carpets from Heritage.
We will start installing this weekend. He is very impressed with the quality.(I have yet to see. He had gotten some nylon from one of the big 3 and we were not impressed. It was the lower end product. I showed him the samples I had gotten from Heritage and he re-order from them. It's more, but it's what you see and feel every time you drive. I will post some photos as we go.

I see no reason not. Saturday we will be finishing the clutch replacement, installing driveline and exhaust, and taking out old stuff. Could be a lot of prep work type of day. Sunday will be a start after 12:00. Come over either or both days. I will PM you phone and address.
Now I will have to clean up the garage for guests.
Maybe I should start a new Post.
Anyway, here is how far we got today!
I have a small amount of POR15 work to do. https://s225.photobucket.com/albums/dd50/Norton47/LeAnnes%20TR6/
