TR6 TR6 Alloy Wheel Supplier

I am considering buying a set of 15" X 6" 6mm offset Panasport wheels and am wondering if anyone knows of a supplier that gives Forum members a good discount. There was some e-mails concerning a company called K-Speed, but I have been unable to locate them....are they no longer in existence?

Hi,

K-Speed rings a bell, but I can't say why and don't have any info on them. I found https://www.kspeed.com/ but it just seems to redirect to other websites. I *think* there is also a brand of wheel called K Speed, or maybe it's a "house brand".

Shop around. A lot of places sell Panasports. Most only stock the silver wheel, other colors are special order and take some time to get.

The Tire Rack is one of the Forum advertisers, gives some support here whenever there is a purchase. I believe they carry Panasport. They also have pretty good prices, I believe.

I know The Roadster Factory sells Panasport and occasionally has a sale on them. Might be worth joining their club to get the discount on that and other purchases.

There are also KN Minator wheels, made in England. They are quite similar, but are 1/2" narrower (15x5.5J), don't have the silver polished rim and come with a plain center cap. There may be some slight difference in offset, looking at the two side-by-side. Available from many places, including TRF, perhaps Victoria British and Moss.

I recently noticed a Superlite wheel that appears identical to Panasport, being sold on eBay for about half the price. I know very little about these and haven't seen anything more than pictures. They are made in England and/or Australia, claim to be a little lighter, yet still a high standard. The manufacturer has a website at www.superlite-wheels.com and https://www.firecharger.com/page_wheels.html imports into the U.S. and sells them on eBay. Might be worth checking out. The price is right... if the wheels are good.

You didn't mention what car these were for but also considor a 15x7" rim . If your thinking of using 205/60's or 65's , the wider rim spreads the tire better allowing a wider contact patch & less tire deflection. They also look deeper to the eye.

If you do go to a 15x7 take a look at the Konig rewinds. Several 240Z sites have them at around 500-550 a set (4). Not terrible looking imo and a LOT less expensive.

K-Speed was the major distributor in the US but closed doors a few years ago. I think Paul Spruell is the major distributor now.
