I would start by loosening the windscreen support and see if you can cant and/or slide it back a bit, then retighten. If this still leaves too much of a gap, then the second step is to loosen the screen mounting bracket screws (8) and see if you can move the screen assembly to average the clearance between the screen top and forward edges. Hopefully these steps can get you close enough.
If not, you will have to adjust (bend) the windscreen bracket, which is much trickier...I have ways of doing that, but they envolve heat and potential for cracking the chrome and/or bracket. Hopefully you will have results without going that far, though.
