Pics of my new car are posted..

I just uploaded four new pictures on my 1969 MGC I just acquired. It looks allot better in the pictures then it really is. It was a daily driver for the owner from 1969 to 1993 then he put it in his garage and only started it a few times in the last 10 years. Needless to say I have to work over the brakes and clutch systems to make it truly road worthy but it starts and runs great. Let me know what you think.

Also, I accidentally posted a pic on the Healy picture site. How do I remove it.

Thanks for the pics! Looks like a great ride! (I took care of deleting the picture in the Healey forum).

What are your plans overall? A complete resto, or just going to make it a nice driver?

Cheers,
Basil

It was given a horrible paint job in that past so I'm thinking about doing some sort of major restore on it. My thinking is its such a great car (my opinion) that it would be a waste not to do a substantial restoration. Being that I've never restored anything I would have to think long and hard about doing it myself. But the though of trying it myself is intriguing its just I would hate to screw it all up.

Welcome aboard Dave

At last!!

another 6 banger MG on the boards. Car looks nice and straight, as long as those curves are not by bondo, although with the history you mention that would be highly unlikely. Looks like a well used but straight original car.

I finished the restoration on my C GT a couple of years back now (see photos on member's rides) and I've never looked back, The C's are great long distance cars and quite different to their 4 cylinder cousins, although I find that they are an absolute pain to start when cold in comparison the the MGBs.

Keep us all informed on how you go and if you want to compare notes.

By the way for those that may be interested the poor mess that used to be an MGC roadster

(ex California) that was on ebay last year has resurfaced on ebay again recently, much lower bids this time and still will probably be passed in (it deserves to be)
