Old MG's and memories.

Just new to the sight. Discovered the forum when I was looking up old classic sports cars. Been a few years since I've owned one but always have enjoyable memories of them. The first one I was associated with was an old TC my brother bought as a basket case (over 40years ago). My father helped him rebuild it from the ground up. I spent many enjoyable times driving that little car. There have been many other British sports cars and motorcycles in the family over the years. My daughters first car was an MGB. Another wreck that she and I worked on to get to running condition. I think they get in your blood, as I still get the urge to buy another. I do a little digital art as a winter hobby. Couldn't resist doing one a couple of years ago on the old MG TC in a late 40's scene. Hope the old TC owners enjoy it.

cool picture! You know we do have an art gallery here on the site, don't ya? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Something about that picture has me wondering a bit here, but I'd like to refrain from critiques until I know more about it. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif Can you tell us more about it, like applications used to make it?

nice piece of digi art! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Welcome, Gray! I too have it in my blood. It all started with my father's '65 MGB which I now own. I also own a TC and enjoy it greatly as it seems you enjoyed yours years ago.

Great drawing also! Any objections if I were to upload it to my MG artwork page of my web site? https://www.mgnuts.com/mg/artwork

Nunyas: Thanks, I didn't know there was an art gallery on the site. This one was a bitmap (raster) painting. Did it with an animation program. Had some simple paint tools in it. I mostly use vectors now.
Steve S: Thanks, no objection to you uploading it at all.
Naomi and Vping thanks for your kind words.
R6MGS: Thats quite a collection you have. Must keep you very busy looking after all those beauties.

Done! Since it's the first and only digital submission, your TC is in the "other" section at the bottom of the page. Let me know if you want a link posted with it. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

yup, the BCF has a member's art gallery. It's accessible by clicking on the button up top that says "Elsewhere" and selecting "Member Art". However, I don't know how to go about setting up your own gallery. Just thought you might be interested in using it if you're in the habit of making pics all the time.

Very cool pic. I suspected the car in the pic was 3D for a short while... apparently I was wrong /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Thanks Steve S. You have some great auto art on your site. Thanks for the link offer, I usually just do digital aviation though. I've only done a couple of autos.

Nunyas: I've never done 3D, only 2D. I think it has something to do with my simple mind.

R6MG5: I live in Deep Cove, Vancouver Island.
