First time in a long time the bikes have been close enough to snap a pic. Tuned them both yesterday. White one is a 94 Suzuki DR350 and the red is an 89 CR 125. Got them both when they were 1 year old. Hey Steve, feel free to pull or move this thread because they are not British.

Here is another German bike, A 1957 Maico Scrambler. Maico won the European 250 MX championship in '57 on a bike much like this. The scramblers are pretty rare, there are a few enduros around from this vintage. The scrambler has an oval section frame, closer ratio trans. and a modified engine. This is the only scrambler I have ever seen with the "lighting kit" still intact.

I have owned a Sear-Puch “twingle”, a Harley 125 cc, a Rotax Can-Am 175 enduro, a Bultaco 125, a Montessa, a Honda 305 Scrambler and lots of other, more forgettable bikes.
I’ve run dozens of northeast enduros on a Kawasaki KDX.
And I’m an earned Life Member of the AMA.

Here’s my present street bike: an Honda Ascot 500 “thumper”. Narrow bars and rear-set pegs. The starter is weak (and no kicker) so I may have it rewound soon....I'm getting tired of bump-starting it.

I have an Ascot single too. Its black with a red leather seat.

There is a weakness in the starter mechanism on these bikes, which can get them parked permanently.

Fun to ride bike.

I have just under $1900.00 in this Shaft drive tourer. It handles well and is super comfortable. I really like it. Its kept up in Maine for when I visit there. It was purchased for a Nova Scotia tour I want to do. At home I have a brand new Kawasaki Concourse tourer, but this bike is very competent too.
