Good afternoon to everybody - my name is Peter and I am the owner of a 1958 Frogeye (AN5L 6059, left drive). The car was delivered to West Coast USA originally and brought to Germany somewhere in the 70. I bought it in 2010 and hold it alive (German TÜV) till 2019. After my retirement 2 years ago I started a project to do a full restoration aiming to do myself as much as possible. In 2022 all parts (except engine / gearbox) were detached and refurbished by myself. In 2023 the body was stripped and a lot of welding / grinding done and painted in Old English White (I did a lot by myself but with the help of a professional painter). I am lucky to have some place in a classic car workshop nearby where I can use a lifting gear and special tools. Since two months I am busy with rebuilding, last week I did the the break-/clutch lines.
I look forward to find answers in the Sprite forum with all the problems and questions that I do not know already but will certainly come up in the next months.
Best regards from Aalen (south Germany, 70km east of Stuttgart), Peter
