Car running fine but when hot (180-190), if left to idle more than a few secs, would stall, then a few minutes later start right up or if on hill just pop clutch and fires. So since electrical is usually carb and carbs usually electrical I decided to rebuild distributor innards and retune carb to cover all bases (yeah right). Aware of importance of making sure rotor is ALL the way down, it wasn't. Split vertically in two pieces. Caterham 7 rotor equivalent held together with super glue for 15 years and 30,000 mi so I super glued Healey intending to order new one next day. 3 trips about 60 mi later it hit me I forgot to order new rotor, so I finally did and replaced super glued one. Not sure if permanent fix but at least ought to get you home if you have superglue handy or store near by. So far, also it hasn't stalled, or maybe its the super glued rotor that is responsible, have not driven since new one put on.
