Looking for 100 side curtains in any condition. I am restoring my originals and need a few parts.

Not all that relevant but if you watch the TV show "Wheeler Dealers" there's an episode where they have the side curtains of a VW Thing restored by professionals.

I realize it won't help you with correct materials to use, trim details and such but gives an idea of what needs to be done.

I have replaced the side curtains on my BN1. I still have the originals. Not sure if of any use to you as they are RHD.

I am having the clear windows replaced in the original vinyl borders by a marine upholstery shop. Still collecting needed parts, the t-bolts and recessed nuts (known as sex nuts) are going to be difficult to locate or find a replacement part. Mine are green and they are difficult and expensive to find replacements that match the color correctly. In the end I might save half the cost. If I added my labor cost, I could have easily purchased new ones.

I have just done some repairs to my sidescreens. I made the fasteners using small screws and flat washers. I had to use plain hex locknuts. The correct nut is actually similar to a spoke end from a bicycle wheel! Finding a screw with the same thread is the challenge.

I like the idea of grinding down washers to make the T-bolts. I was going to manufacture them with 6-32 clinch bolts in sheet metal and use sex bolts (barrel nuts) to secure.
