We're under final approach, I'm like a groundhog hearing a whistle. Still haven't got the "clean" shot of one. Yesterday I heard one coming and he was higher (2K~2.5K ft.) and not on the same line as others when the camera was in the house out of reach. At least the LORAN strip is visible. Now the camera is at arm's length and I'm on alert.

I recall you telling us that.

The flights have slowed down, likely fewer training flights due to fuel considerations. But I'll get a good shot sooner or later. Usually they're about 1100 ft., gear down, throttles up and dialin' in flaps. Love it.

And I miss it when it gets this quiet!
 
All I have is my challenge coin. Given to me by Col. Brian Smith, Commander of 6th OSS:

Looks "blurry" due to a textured clear coating.
 
Through some haze but at a lower altitude. Can't quite smell the exhaust... 😉
